I dont think fertiles understand pregnancy at all. "I have had an easy pregnancy!" Really? Great! But don't tell me how easy it was to get pregnant and how easy pregnancy has been for you. Life just seems too easy for you and I want to smack you.
Getting pregnant. For us herbal supplements worked. I just wish I had known this 3 years ago.
Staying pregnant. When I bled at 13 weeks, I was convinced it was over. It wasn't a large amount of blood, but I have started every miscarriage with blood, so even seeing a little told me it was over. Luckily, it wasn't. Then I got kidney stones. And heard "distress". Which is never a good word for a pregnant woman to hear. Since then nothing immediately dangerous for Huddy has come along. But I have worried, every single day.
I haven't have a difficult pregnancy by any means. Just not an easy one. I have pubic dysfunction and my pelvis started moving before it should have, I had cysts driving me crazy my entire first trimester, I had a lumber injury back in 09 that I never really got taken care of that flared back up and pinched my sciatic nerve and I didn't sleep properly for 20 weeks.
I also had some adjustments to make. I was a 1 snack a day and one or two meals a day kind of girl. Suddenly eating every few hours confused the hell out of me.
Nothing major. But the first half of pregnancy was not "easy" and the second half has just been uncomfortable.
For my fertile friend, besides swollen ankles she has had no issues. I swell anytime I am in the heat, and have since about 16 weeks, and I get heat rash at least once a week. These things don't even register on my radar as something to worry about. Honestly, compared to the feeling of my legs going numb, or the shooting sciatica pain, they don't bother me at all.
This woman had her glucose 2 weeks before I had my early screen. She thought "no big deal" and just went to work without eating and then had her glucose on her lunch break. Only by then, she hadn't ate in 12 hours and she couldn't figure out why she suddenly felt faint and spent the next week hurling. She is going to an OBGYN who hasone of the highest ceasarean section rates in our area. Why? "Everyone in my family has used him." And everyone in your family has cried over the destroyed vision for labor when they were told they weren't progressing and needed a c section.
Do fertiles not think? Or research?
Our practice (which has midwives and then 1 doctor on call for emergencies or high risk deliveries) has the lowest rate for c sections in our area, in fact, it is 25% less than the practice with the 2nd lowest rate. She is going to a hospital that has NO NICU, nothing. AT ALL! Basically, if anything goes wrong with that baby, he will be put on a chopper and sent either to a different hospital or flown the hour (hour by car) to the Children's Hospital. If Huddy has any issues, the smaller ones will be dealt with at the hospital (both our 1st and 2nd choices have NICU's) or if it is more severe, he will be flown to the same Children's hospital. Why choose this hospital fertile friend? "It is where my step mother in law works".
Oh, and I did check out her baby registry the other day. She registered for 7 types of bubble bath. For a baby registry. All of her requests were the most expensive items in the store. Besides soaps, clothes and such, nothing on her registry was under $120. I showed George, who worked hard to make sure everyone can afford something from our registry, and he nearly died. He said it was a good thing I forgot to give her our address, because we couldn't have afford her shower anyway.
Okay, sorry for the super long vent about stupid things. I was just annoyed.
Oh, and they're naming their child after a VERY famous teen mom.
Today I went shopping. I returned a dress, and got a dress. But while trying this dress on, I realized, in my current bra, I look like I dont have a bra on. These things were wiggling every which way. And I have large breasts. Even when I weighed in at 116 lbs, I had DD's. Now they are a large DDD. Before pregnancy, it was a 38 DDD. Now it is a 44 DDD. I gained girth. Odd. Now for the challenge, find a store that carries 44 DDD in nursing bras. In store.
You can't. I have tried 2 malls.
So, Penny's as my Grandma calls it, ordered some for me online and since the lady felt sympathetic, she put in codes to take $6 off each bra. Which paid for shipping! So, in 2 weeks, I will have well supported girls! And nursing bras. I bought 2 cheapies that came in a 2 pack for night wearing and for the birthing tub, and then one more expensive one for every day wear. If I like them, I will buy more, but since I can't try them on, I didn't want to get too many. The downside is the look. They didn't have any good looking ones in my size. So, it is an ugly, granny looking nude one. The night time ones are grey and black.
Here is my challenge for you, find me a nursing bra, with supportive shoulder straps, that can still look attractive, in a 44 DDD.
I still don't like that 44. 38 is much better. It better go down after I finish nursing.
I watched birth videos. For 2 hours yesterday. I have decided the water birth looks cleaner, and calmer. I feel good about my choice. Let's hope everything goes as planned!
Our little Prince arrived on November 13, 2011. After years of trying, we finally have our dream come true. This blog will be where I share anecdotes and the wonders of raising our son, so that some day, Huddy can enjoy reading about his gestation, birth, and childhood.

I am BACK!
My goodness. It is so nice to finally have my laptop back. I was so excited I actually hugged her (aren't all beautiful things in life women?) and took pictures. I missed my baby Asus.
New things?
I am 27 weeks and 1 day.
I did my glucose test and almost died. Apparently 6 hours without food, then eating a poptart and then going another 6 hours without food sends my body into a tailspin. I was sipping some ice water after a bath, and then BAM I just felt like I was baking in an oven and would pass out any second. Luckily, George was right there and got me into bed so we could call the midwife.
Finances still suck. Between our cars needing $1500 worth of work, our hot water tank leaking, our computers both dying, and George's insurance hating us, nothing is working in our favor. I try not to be a worrywart, but at this rate, if we DON'T get it from our baby shower guests, I have no clue how we will get it.
I did decide that after 60 days of not hearing anything from the school, I should count myself jobless. So, I filed for unemployment. The school is claiming I am on a voluntary leave of absence. Well, if it is so "voluntary" I would have liked to go back about 3 seconds after it began.
And after 60 days of not hearing anything, I consider myself let go. So, when I do go back to work after Huddy is born (I'd go back into the working world now, but who hires a woman who is 27 weeks pregnant?) the 6 months of not working for the competition will be over.
I am trying not to get my hopes up on the unemployment thing. It wouldn't bring in too much, but it'd be enough to get a crib and some baby items. The downside? They want you to apply for a job at 2 places a week, yeah, when I have a newborn, I doubt I will be doing that.
The only reason I see for me not getting unemployment is that I wasn't at the school for 6 months. But I went straight from one great paying job, to the school, where I made several hundred dollars less, and didn't have more than 30 days off in between. Which the guy who suggested I file for unemployment said makes me qualify. I don't know.
Oh, and I have made a decision. An important one. I will be going back to school. I am going to attend the small community college that is 10 miles away, and try to take classes in the morning or evening or online, and then get a job working 4 hours maybe 4 days a week. All of this is after Huddy is born, so I would like to keep my time away from him to a minimum. But he will be about 6 weeks when spring semester starts, so I will be giving myself adequate maternity leave. I would like to just go to school, but even with grants and scholorships, I don't know that we will be okay financially, and only working 16 hours would be enough to give us some extra money.
Anywho, I will be doing my best to post at least 3 times a week now that I have a computer. And no job.

Today
Today it hit me. I don't really have a job. I will get called in when they need me. Dispite 4 people (all friends of mine) calling off today, they still didn't need me. It will have to be like WWIII before I get called in. So, What is a Jobless, Pregnant Woman to do?
Swim
I took my friend and her 2 children swimming in the pool! This is day 4 of the swimming. Everyday.
Last summer I would have enjoy it a bit more. I don't think I can jump into a pool. So, I scoot in. Not as much fun. I am also tryingto avoid the mask of pregnancy, so I apply sunblock to my face and chest. This isn't working. After several days, I am PINK. I know, not too big of a deal, but if I keep this up, pink may go to red. Apparently sunblock must be reapplied. Uh-Huh. Who wants to get OUT of the pool to apply? Not my friend's little one!
He is also pink. Dispite her chasing him trying to dry him, then applying it, only to have him immediately jump in the kiddie pool, then redry, reapply, and hold him hostage for 10 minutes until we figured it had dried well enough, the kid is still PINK. It hit 101 degrees here. So, we played in the pool, everyone drank multiple bottles of water, and we took a trip inside every hour or so. We also bought turkey to make sandwiches.
I didn't realize that after we ate, my friend left the turkey on the counter, knowing her little one would want to eat again in a little bit. My Momma has a kitty. A bad kitty. A naughty kitty. When her older daughter wanted a snack and had to pee, we sent her inside to grab the turkey and bring it out. She ended up coming out with oranges and apples, which work just as well, so we ate those. When we went in an hour later, certain that we would feed the children half sandwiches, eat whole ones ourselves, and be back in the pool in 15 minutes, we found an empty deli bag by the back door.
Apparently my friend's daughter went in, and found a kitty stuck with his head IN THE BAG and saved the kitty. But thought the kitty would get in trouble, so she brought out oranges and apples instead. She forgot to hide the evidence though.
My other friend, let's call her Coco, is in Hawaii. Greeting her husband. Right now. As he returns from Iraq. He is stationed there for at least a year, so she took a semester off school, moved don there last month, and has spent that month on the phone with me asking to borrow George. She has dealt with giant cockroaches that hiss and fly, a gecko who is now her nightstand buddy, giant spiders, scary neighbors, furnishing her first place, and all the military crap along the way, without anyone else. I have sat up till 6 am our time, helping her with allof these issues. The cockroach one was awesome. Her screaming made her neighbors run outside to try and see in her window, they shouted at her, asking if she was okay, and she invited them upstairs to kill the cockroach (the same cockroach I had spent 20 minutes convincing her that cockroaches don't eat humans). Husband in Iraq, all alone, 3000 miles from home, and let's invite a random man to come upstairs to my fabulous new apartment and kill a bug! That is COCO!
I just met her 6 months ago, but she is possibly the nicest person I have EVER MET! She also got me hooked on a certain wine, that while cheap, is amazing and highly addicting. I want it everyday. I only enjoyed 3 bottles in the month before I got pregnant, and that just wasn't enough. I am not really a big drinker, tequila shots every 2 years, strawberry daquiries with my mom once or twice a year, and I had NEVER enjoyed wine. Now I do. Oh, and I drink champagne on my anniversary (ha! not this year, anniversary is in 5 days) and at weddings.
The parent debacle. Oh my. So, for the last few months, my step dad has not been able to pay his cell phone bill. So, we just sent over whatever my mom needed to pay it (we have 5 of us all on one plan) and were done. Well, now we are struggling, and couldn't do it this month. My mom is ever diligent and kept track of how much we gave her for my step dad's bill. $679. For my step sister and step dad. Now, we have to pay our taxes (we pay every 6 months) for the house, and that is our last $700. So, my mom told my step dad on Friday "Stacey as paid for nearly 6 months, she is hurting right now and could use some cash. She won't be paying the bill for you this month, so I need the money or the phones will get turned off." All of this after a month of not seeing him. He never even got back to her. So, she turned off the cell phones. My step sister's boyfriend called and asked if he could pay their bill this month and pay me back. I said "SURE!" Apparently he had $400 in birthday money and wanted to help them out. So, I told him how much the bill is this month, and how much I am already owed. He said "Oh man! No way can I dish out that much!" and told my sister the grand total. She told other sister who told brother, and they all confronted my step dad, and said "Why didn't you pay?" He doesnt let his kids, even though one is 17, one 15, one 14, know his finances, so he became enraged. At me. For telling the boyfriend the amount.
I was trying to help you! And help myself! So, now the break is complete, siblings are with their dad, their dad hates my mom and me for everything, and I am back to being the only, lonely child I was 5 years ago when my mom met him.
This is soooooo much drama. We aren't usually so drama filled.
I am also sad. My child will not know the giant holiday meals. Or have aunts and uncles. Or know these people. It breaks my heart.

I have been demoted
I love my job. Well, loved.
The new head teacher left early Wednesday and said "Here is the sunblock, put it on 10 minutes before going outside and sign the kids medical forms saying you put it on." I agreed and did exactly as she said. We went outside where it was 80 degrees, and the kids began to sweat, and were wiped sweat off their face with their arms, and some just let it run down their faces.
Then I looked over at one of my little girls who started to cry. I found no reason for her to keep crying but she kept rubbing her eyes. So, I looked at her sweaty, teary eyed, face and realized her eyes are red and irritated. I took my kids inside and called for help from the director. We rinsed their eyes (by this time 4 of my 6 kids were crying) and washed all the sunblock off their faces and arms. Then the director grabs the sunblock.
Apparently, last week a memo went out to all the head teachers that this particular brand was not sweat proof and water proof and had irritated the preschooler's eyes, so it was NOT to be used.
The director asked me where I found this bottle and I explained that my head teacher had got it out of our medication container and handed it to me. I also explained that it matched what the medical sheets for the kids had said. "Generic Baby Sunblock. Applied to exposed skin as needed." This was Dol.Lar Gen.eral baby sunblock. Obviously generic and it said "Baby" on it.
So, I explained to 3 or the 4 parents what had happened, and they laughed and some even said they had made the same mistake before, no biggie. But the last mom was pissed. Apparently the office said "Oh yeah, the teacher just put too much on her and didn't get it all rubbed in and that is why her eyes are like that." The Director didn't want everyone to know that A) she had used petty cash to buy the sunblock for each room. B) A failure in communication was the reason this sunblock was in our room and C) That the school was in any way at fault. Just the teacher.
This teacher.
So, I got a call this morning. I am off for te next 2 days ("Just so everyone can calm down.") and this mother has requested that I "never work with her child again". Yep, because I am an idiot who can't rub sunblock in and uses too much. Apparently, even though I have been applyng sunblock to people professionally for 6 years, and personally since I could walk, I don't know enough to rub it in.
My coworkers who were not there to witness the truth, are also being told the same thing.
And now, I am a sub. The lowest sub on the totem pole (Which is actually a good thing if it is a real totem pole). Want to know how many people are ahead of me? 31. If 25 teachers can't cover a shift, and 6 other subs can't cover a shift, then I get to work it. I have seen the girl ahead of me maybe 3 times in the 4 months I have been there.
What am I guilty of? Doing what my head teacher told me to do.
Finances.
HA! What finances? We have had to spend all of our savings in the last 2 months. We have NONE. No more. At all. We have exactly $198.74 in our bank. That is checking. Because I had to empty the savings completely this week so we could afford to pay off our debt. We have gone from having $6000 to having $198.74! In 2 months. And now I won't be bringing anything in. Again. I will be lucky to make $100 in one pay period!
Gee, who's real name is George, told me to see about support. I doubt we qualify. If they go by last year we won't. We will be making $30,000 less this year than last year. I have worked for a much lower pay since leaving the evil company and going to the school, and I haven't worked as much, and now I pretty much won't be working at all.
What the hell am I going to do? At this rate, we won't even be able to buy baby things. It will be essentials only. Crib. No changing table. Receiving blankets. No snuggly silky blankets. I probably won't even be able to buy my own kid an outfit at this rate! Screw maternity clothes. If I am not working I might as well stay naked and maybe buy 1 or 2 shirts for when I have to go out. We are so screwed. George's check, is enough to cover the basics, like bills. And cheap cheap cheap, not enough to keep up with my pregnant appetite, groceries. My checks always covered groceries and spending money. If I had to go on bedrest, that is considered temporary disability and at least I would get something!
So, I guess I will fill out a request for assistance at Job and Family services and live off the government for awhile. Because honestly, it is hard enough to find a job around here, let alone find one when you're pregnant.
UGH! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

So, I guess I will fill out a request for assistance at Job and Family services and live off the government for awhile. Because honestly, it is hard enough to find a job around here, let alone find one when you're pregnant.
UGH! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

My First Mother's Day (kind of)
So, Sunday morning I woke up with some pressure. In my vah-jay-jay. Some period like cramping, and a back ache from my lower back to the bra strap area. I tried walking around, tried a hot bath, they dulled it but nothing significant. I called the doctor. The midwife called me back and she wanted to get the OB's opinion before deciding what to do, but she suggested laying down with a pillow between my legs. I fell asleep. Three hours later the doctor had not called.
I bitched to Gee who was, by this point, ready to have a heart attack. I called the midwife back and explained how now it felt like the pressure was gone, but it hurt in my back more. She said it could be a bacterial infection or a cervical issue and that I may have laid wrong.
I prayed for the laying wrong idea and a bacterial infection. (At this point an std or BV sounded like an awesome idea) Then everything went away, except for the the back pain, which by now i felt in my right side right below my rib cage. Sadly, you have probably already figured this out, but it took me an hour.
My mom came over to hang out for Mother's day (Midwife also ordered me not to get out of bed for any reason other than peeing) and when she walked in and noticed how messy my house is, she began cleaning. Leaving me writhing in pain, alone in bed. Gee thought something was wrong with the baby and was upstairs trying to deal with it in his own way, bitching to friends and killing people on xbox.
I felt like I could not get comfortable. No matter what. I tried everything. I was stretching, trying weird positions, making Gee rub my back (when he came downstairs) and everything else I could think of. It did not work. I tried getting into the tub (while Gee is upstairs and my mom is cleaning) and it still hurt. By this point I knew I had a kidney infection.
I went to my mom, bawling like a baby, and said "Just take me to the ER" and then started explaining how I am such a wimp, how am I going to birth a baby if a damn kidney infection takes me down?
She and Gee took me to the hospital, laughing and making jokes the entire way. Gee even proclaimed that once they checked the baby, he was walking home. So, I threatened to beat them, kill them, and walk the rest of the way myself. They shut up.
Then we got rushed right in , and they took my BP, oxygen and pulse. My pulse was high for anyone, my BP was 130/80 (I am generally 60/80 and have actually been asked if I am alive.) My oxygen saturation was 88. It hurt to breath, hurt to cough, laugh, smile, be alive! And nothing would take it away. My Mom joked that it would suck if these doctors were making such a big deal and then we found out it was gas. Gee joked that I am pregnant, and with pregnancy everything always comes back to gas.
I threatened their lives again and switched positons another 200 times. The doctor rushed in, checked the baby, and realized, their ultrasound machine was not meant for OB and couldn't record the heart beat. So, they tried doing it another way, which came back as 216 beats per minute! They said that yes, he was agitated and his heart was fast, but they did not think 216 was accurate. But, he definitely could not get comfortable just like me. I assume that everytime I moved, he moved, and I was trying EVERYTHING to get comfortable, which means I was flopping around like a freaking fish out of water. Poor BFM.
Then they let me pee, and did an ultrasound on my kidney. Which was healthy, and fine. So they checked my left kidney, healthy and fine. Then right as they finished they came in with the results of my pee test. No infection. But blood. Then, as I switched positions for the 100000000th time, they asked "Are you having trouble getting comfortable?" I burst into tears, and Gee said "DUH!".
They explained how the blood and me not being able to get comfortable meant kidney stones. They could not do a CAT scan since I am pregnant, but explained what was going on and that my bleeding Friday was probably not related at all. So, I am still on severely restricted pelvic rest and I am waiting for a pain that will "make sure you don't need an epidural during labor". FUCK!
I also got vicodin. I questioned them, I called my nurse, I asked the pharmacist, they said with kidney stones, vicodin is okay. It would lower the heart rate slightly, and make him sleepy. So, I popped that bad boy and 30 minutes later I was eating a big juicy burger and living the high life.
But I am me, so I used my phone to talk to Dr. Google. Apparently, when a woman has kidney stones, it will put her in so much pain, that she may go into premature labor or miscarry. So, death of baby, or lower heart rate and drowsiness, I pick heart rate and drowsiness.
Gee and I agreed though, that while the stones were traveling from my kidney to my bladder, I would take the vicodin, but I would make sure to leave an hour break for BFM to feel normal.
HA!
The vicodin wore off 5 hours later. Five! Not the 6 the bottle says! I ended up vomiting. All of my burger and fries. Which was the ONLY thing I had ate all day. Apparently pregnant me says "Ouch! that hurts, lets barf!" It did not work. Still hurt. So, Gee said to just take the pill. So, I took it 15 minutes early. Then an hour later, I got the shakes. And dizzy. And the general "I need food" feeling. My blood sugar was 42. Gee made me chocolate milk (not sugar free!) and potatoes and corn. Oddly, that is what I wanted. Starch and sugar!
Then I sat down on the couch, and could not get back up. I was too tired. Gee assisted me to bed, and I passed out! Four hours later I woke up, peed, and felt fine. Then another 4 hours later I woke up and realized, THE PAIN WAS GONE! cue angels singing.
So, the little rock babies who plan to rip and cut their way out of my poor little urethra, are safely in my bladder. I have felt great all day. I get a follow up with my OB in the morning to check on baby fishy monster, and wait for my practice labor that promises to be 10x worse than labor. Dr. Google has me afraid to pee.
So, wish a girl luck, and say a prayer or a hope, or toss some rock baby dust over here. And if you are in Ohio and hear a woman screaming in the bathroom, and she may or may not be using the Bradley Method to urinate, please, keep walking.
Oh, and my mom and Gee, have both been kissing my ass. They feel so guilty. The moment they said "Kidney stones" I smirked at those two! Gas! GAS! As far as I am concerned, they can come enjoy practice labor with me, and I promise to squeeze their hands the entire time!

12w4d
I am technically only 12w3d but dammit, I have an hour!
I promise I will scan our next Ultrasound picture.
I have been gone for awhile due to exhaustion and timing and just enjoying this gift.
I had very easy to control morning sickness until about 9 weeks when BAM! I lost control. It was a rough 18 days of vomit. But I have felt better since. I caught te flu. The doctor told me I could throw everything up for 12 hours but after that, I had best get my butt to the ER. So, just an hour shy of 12 hours, I ate 2 bites of Gee's bagel, had 2 sips of water and went to bed. TADA! I survived and woke up to eat a whole bagel and then 2 hours later a pizza. I made half an extra large pizza last 8 hours because more than 1 piece at a time will KILL my stomach.
I finally realized how to poop. It comes like clock work. Three small pebbles every hour for 3 hours. Apparently that is fine. I had been nervous about showing my ultrasound picture to people because I am convinced you can tell how full of shit I am in it. I only know what the uterus is and what the baby is in it (It was taken at like 10 weeks 4 days) and all that other stuff could be poop as far as I know.
Either way, tomorrow my MIL is getting a framed picture of it for her birthday. And for 's Mother's Day the two Great Grandmother's, and Two Grandmother's are getting framed pictures of the Ultrasound we will be getting Monday.
Yay!
I no longer think I am having a boy. I think I am having a stroller. I dream about my stroller. It is the only thing I can for sure picture in my head. I see a mass of blankets inside of it and that is it. And bitches better stop stealing my stroller in my dreams because I wake up in a panic.
My dream last night was awful. My MIL (in my dream) bought us a wicker pink and white bassinet. It was beautiful. Then she died. My MIL. We were comforting my FIL when suddenly he decided he needed money and wanted to pawn my bassinet. So Gee and I chased him trying to stop him but Gee ended up being too afraid to stand up to his father about it. Then Gee woke me up and when I shared this dream he asked me to never share it again. AKA do not tell anyone how much of a jerk his father is. Because his dad really would do that if a bassinet were worth pawning.
We have done nothing. The plan was that by this weekend the house would be cleaned and organized and the nursery would be empty of everything besides a crib. The nursery is packed full of things that need to be organized and stored in the attic or given away or sold at a garage sale. The house is at it's worst ever. Doing dishes has made me throw up at least 12 times and I have finally given up. Gee sucks at dishes and is just refusing. So, I am trying to find a good time to pay my mother to do it for me. I did clean and organize the living room Thursday after I recovered from my flu. I also have managed to keep up with the bathroom. Today I cleaned off the dining room table and maybe tomorrow I will organized everything else in the dining room. That is probably as far as I will get this weekend.
We have not bought the crib. It was meant to be the 12 week gift to ourselves but we failed. We still have some fears.
Speaking of. After this long of trying and so many losses, I am allowed to be the crazy pregnant woman who obsesses over every twinge, every feeling, every symptom. I am allowed to continue to check for blood everytime I pee. I am allowed to lay in bed for hours just trying to imagine the "What ifs". Recently some of my friends decided that I am not. Okay, just 2 people who have never had a loss. One got pregnant on accident, one got pregnant on accident once and then tried for 8 months for number 2. For 4 of those months her husband wasn't even sure he wanted another child at the time. So, when I finally got pregnant, we talked. At first number 1 was complaining about how she wanted to be induced from the time she was 34 weeks. Friend number 2 was bitching about her pregnancy before I even got pregnant. Bitching to an infertile! It is a crime. But apparently I commited a cardinal sin.
I am sorry I am a crazy pregnant woman. Switch me places and let's see how you feel.
Everything else is dandy. I promise I will update Monday or Tuesday after the ultrasound.

Goodness! I need to post more. I am soooo sorry. I promise, I will update atleast once a week. Cross my Heart.
I drink 200 ounces of water a day, that is just water, I also drink milk, and sprite throughout my day. I pee every 2 hours. I seriously cannot survive without a bottle of water.
Gee is a butt. Seriously, I understand he does not want to get his hopes up, but pick up a book! I am not lying when I say that I cant make dinner because the raw meat will make me hurl. I am not lying when I say that I will cut you if you eat my breakfast again.
Last night I sat my breakfast (rolls from texas roadhouse) in the microwave. I planned to eat 1 roll and toss in a breakfast link and walk out the door at 720 am. Instead, at 716 my husband says he ate my roll and all the breakfast links, and I start to panic. I have about 20 minutes before the hurling will begin if I do not get something besides water and tums into my stomach. So, I drive to the gas station (going 50 in a 35 so I wont be late) and get some stupid peanut butter crackers, and eat them on my way to work. Then I realize one of my toddlers has a peanut butter allergy. And I have it on my hands and I cant get it out of my mouth. So, I have to waste an entire bottle of water gargling, chew a nasty old piece of gum, and scrub my hands, all before I can go into my room. Now do you see why I am going to cut him?
So when I explained why breakfast is so important, he said "The baby doesnt know if you dont eat! You'll be fine."
IT IS NOT TH BABY! IT IS THE HORMONES THE BABY IS CAUSING DIPWAD!
Essentially I have solved all morning sickness issues. I drink a bottle of water when I get up as I swallow 2 tums. Then I get ready and eat my breakfast as I walk out the door. When I get to work, within an hour it is snack time, so I snack. Then I eat lunch at work. It is healthy toddler food, so I get alot of fruit and veggies. Then 2 hours later it is snack again, so I snack. This small toddler portion every 2 hours or so works great! Then I work 4 hours, and the moment I get to my car, I snack on something else. Then I come home, eat something quick, easy and not involving raw meat, and I go to bed.
This weekend was a test. There is not enough food in my house that does not involve raw meat. So, I ate taco bell and a mcdonalds milkshake. This goes against all my eating principles. But it was good. Sometimes you have to eat some crap in order to survive right?
We are having all kinds of drama with insurance. I think it has been settled, I will be going on Gee's insurance. I just hope I can get enrolled in time for my doctor's appointment. Also, thyroid issues, the last time I actually made it to a doctor before I miscarried, I was told to stop my thyroid medication because I was producing enough during pregnancy. Well, I hope it is the same this time because I kind of slacked and forgot to order my thyroid pills before my insurance ran out. And since I am due to see my doctor again, I can't get him to order me any until he sees me. And he can't see me until June. Even after I told him I am pregnant. So, I looked in my pregnancy book and it said I should take them, but that undiagnosed hypothyroidism has been linked to lower IQ scores but no studies have been sure if that was the exact cause. SO? Am I okay? I figure, Gee has a very mild aspergers, so his IQ is out of this world, but his social skills suck. I have a slightly above average IQ but my social skills annoy the crap out of Gee (aka theyre fine) so I am fine right? I promise I will drink some OJ right now (even though I currently detest OJ) and make sure I pop some DHA. Worse comes to Worst, my obgyn will come up with a solution and everything will be fine. (I am putting myself in a total bubble here and not stressing about anything can you tell?)
Also, all my toddlies (as I mentally call them) are sick. The cough almost sounds like croup and theyre taking turns running a 101ish fever. I sent a few home today. After they coughed, sneezed, and sweat all over me with their little sad sicky poo faces! (I am a sucker for a sick crabby child. I held a 32 pounder for an hour just so she could nap until her mother got there.)
Anywho, I should eat something.
OH! Congratulations SARAH!
And Jen!

A Time Line, A Name, An Explanation.
On Thursday, I had a feeling. I felt like my hips were being yanked in opposite directions. I made Gee push on them, but it did not work. On Friday at exactly 7:24 am I ran for the bathroom and met my pizza again.
Then I got sick at the doctor's. Then I vomited on my sidewalk while ALL my neighbors watched. Okay only 3.
Then Saturday I felt rather sick but I did not throw up.
Sunday I went to family dinner at my mom's. I knew I would throw it up, so I ate and ate and ate knowing that these calories would not count. (It tasted really good) Then Monday I went to the school ready for my first day of teaching, and luckily they just had me do paperwork and wanted me back Tuesday to work 8-6. I say luckily because on my way home, I had to pull over on the side of a busy road so I could spew my guts.
I went to sleep for a bit and felt better. When I woke up, I spoke to a few friends about how sick I have been and was told "TAKE A TEST"! So I got my groggy self out of bed and went to the dollar store close by (I was too sick to drive the 20 minutes to the nearest real store.) and bought an off brand cheap test. Well, two.
I got home and started to prepare myself for a big let down. All of my friends on facebook had heard how sick I was by this point and everyone was demanding to be told. I said "Gee has to work tomorrow night and will already be asleep when I wake up to test, so if by some miracle it is positive, I will not wake him, and I will tell everyone when I am ready." I went to bed.
I woke up an hour early with a wave of nausea. I ran! I made it! Then I grabbed a test and sat down. I swear, before I even sat the test down it was positive. I leaned all the way down to the ground (while still sitting on the toilet) and looked, and it got brighter and brighter and bigger and bigger (okay maybe only in my head) and the world got smaller and smaller, and the heavens cried! Then I ran, with pee running down my leg, to Gee, woke him up and hugged him and shouted "You're gonna be a dad!". He said "Thanks. Goodnight" and went back to sleep.
So, I needed someone to tell! So, I text my baby sister (One of the people who had wanted to know) and said "You're going to be an Aunty. But do not tell anyone for a bit." Then I called my mom at work. She was in shock. The only times I have called her at work is when someone has died. So her response was "Better get that insurance situation worked out. Love you. Congratulations."
By the Time i got off the phone with her, my sister had text back and said "omg how? really? can i babysit? am i gonna get paid? i hope its a girl. Can I do her hair?" Typical 14 year old response. All I said was "YES!"
Then I text my step dad. He said "Told you there was a good reason you threw up my steak! Congratulations. Hug Gee for me."
I started to shake. This was happening again. I was going to lose it and end up in bed crying for a week. So, I started to replay the last time in my head. I began to prepare. Then IT hit me.
This WAVE of optimism. IT will not fail. I do not know why I believe this so much, but I do. My mom and Gee have tried to talk me down, to rationalize the situation. But I am untouchable.
I WILL get my BABY!
So, on Facebook, as my status I said "Yes!" and went to work my first day as a daycare teacher.
When I went to lunch, I had 36 comments of "CONGRATULATIONS" and the like. I am not sure how these wonderful friends figured it out but dammit, they ALL did.
So, no secrets here. Everyone knows and I am at my 2nd belly pat already.
Now for the name, Gee was showering and I explained blastocyst and embryo and tadpole, fruit and fetus. Then he went to tadpole. And I said "Can we not go into detail on FISH right now? I will throw up." and he named our baby. "Baby Fishy Monster." He will soon look like a tadpole, and he is a monster making me throw up and my cysts burst. (A monster in the most wonderful "Monster's Inc" sort of way) And I am convinced he is a he. If not, I feel awful calling a girl "Baby Fishy Monster".
Anywho, my back, boobs, pelvis and head hurt. I have enough time before work for a nap and a puke.

Well, two.
